We are proud to announce Le Friquet Hotel has become the first Hotel in Guernsey to use Solar power as a substantial contributor of hot water. The £30,000 investment pre heats incoming cold water from the mains thereby cutting down substantially the oil fired boilers workload.
This investment follows closely our commitment to help the Environment.
Other measures include :-
1. Recycling all bottles and cardboard boxes.
2. Power cut off switches in Guest Bedrooms, when not occupied!
3. Low energy light bulbs where appropriate.
4. Use of local Suppliers (cuts down on "food Miles")
5. Improved insulation including a new roof and plans to replace all
windows with the latest double glazed Sash windows.

Our three ground floor superior rooms are proving to be a great success. Each one is decorated to a high standard and come with their own unique features such as room 32 with its conservatory leading directly into the garden and room 30 with its Jacuzzi style bath.
New for 2008 - Two further Superior rooms situated on the first floor with lovely garden views.

2007/8 - For the forth year running we have been awarded the coveted Visit
Guernsey Silver Award in recognition of higher standards and levels
of service than would normally be found in a Three Star Hotel.

Our local Policeman recently managed to "apprehend" two "suspects" in the Hotel Grounds. Communication was difficult as they apparantly only spoke Guernsey French!!
